Whether you're prepping for range day in a free state or navigating local restrictions, the FLIP Defense Configurable AR Grip offers flexibility and modularity—without risking lost springs or detents—or hauling around spare parts.

Our patent-pending reversible design allows you to configure your AR-15 lower with either a pistol-style grip or a traditional rifle-style grip angle—depending on your setup and needs.

While we do not provide legal advice, and no configuration is guaranteed to be compliant, the featureless-style configuration was designed with reference to the published California regulatory definition of a "pistol grip." In this setup, the grip extends behind the receiver such that the web of the trigger hand is intended to remain above the trigger’s exposed portion during use.

📜 Applicable Law: California Penal Code § 30515 (Excerpt)

(1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of the following:

• A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action
• A thumbhole stock
• A folding or telescoping stock
• A grenade or flare launcher
• A flash suppressor
• A forward pistol grip

"A grip that allows for a pistol-style grasp in which the web of the trigger hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing."
